Are you traveling with your children, parents, and/or grandparents? Whether you're traveling with stroller-sized kids, someone with mobility issues, or just a large group of people, these resort tips can help you plan a stress-free stay in the most MAGICAL place on earth!
Families with Strollers
All resorts have access to buses for travel between resorts and parks. Strollers need to be folded down to board the bus.
There is NO tired like Disney tired.
Even if your little ones have "aged out" of their strollers at home, you may want to consider renting one for your park days.
Check out BabyQuip or Kingdom Strollers to get set up with a multi-day rental stroller (and other gear) to save the hassle and time of renting in the parks daily!
Looking to make your stroller navigation a little easier? Check out these resorts:
Art of Animation (Value)- Skyliner access to HS & Epcot
Caribbean Beach (Moderate)- Skyliner access to HS & Epcot
Wilderness Lodge (Deluxe)- Boat service to MK
Contemporary (Deluxe)- Monorail access to MK & Epcot; Walking path to MK

Grand Floridian (Deluxe)- Monorail access to MK & Epcot; Boat service to MK; Walking path to MK

Yacht Club (Deluxe)- Boat service to HS & Epcot; Skyliner to HS; Walking path to Epcot
Reduced Resort Walking
Large, sprawling resorts can make for some great amenities and sightseeing, but they can be time-consuming to navigate when you are tired or if a member of your group has mobility concerns.
A great suggestion for making walking a lot easier is to rent a scooter. Renting a scooter in the parks costs $50 per day plus a refundable deposit. If you rent a park scooter, you have to leave the scooter when you leave the park. If you're park hopping, you can get a scooter at your next park without an extra fee as long as they have some available. Alternatively, some guests choose to rent from an outside rental agency for the length of their trip!
Another way to reduce your walking time at the resort is to select the "right" kind of room during booking. Preferred rooms are typically closer to the main buildings and amenities than standard rooms, which will cut down on travel time.
Rooms for Large Groups
If you're traveling with multiple generations, the chances are you're going to need more space in your resort as well!
Check out these resorts based on the number of people you want in each room:

Transportation
Once you’re on Disney property, travel options are endless between the buses, monorail, Skyliner, and boats traveling to the various parks, resorts, and Disney Springs shopping area. Getting to and from the airport can be a VERY different story.
Options like Mears are always available, but if you’re transporting a large group (I typically travel with 8+ people), private transportation is often more convenient AND cost-effective. Added luxuries of private transportation include making additional stops, having clean car seats for small children readily available, easy luggage storage, and practically ZERO wait
time for your ride (even for late night/early morning travel).
If you are looking to venture off Disney property, consider renting a car. Email maliaminnicktravel@gmail.com to request car rental pricing for your next trip!
